Privacy policy
GEM Landscapes collects only the information reasonably needed to answer an enquiry, prepare a quotation, deliver agreed work and keep necessary business records.
Information you provide
An enquiry may include your name, email address, mobile number, postcode, project type, approximate size, timeframe, description and photographs. The website may send these details securely to GEM by email. If you choose WhatsApp, telephone, Instagram or another platform, that provider also processes the communication under its own privacy terms.
How the information is used
Information is used to respond to you, assess whether GEM can help, arrange a visit, prepare a quotation, communicate about agreed work, prevent spam and meet legal or record-keeping duties. The usual legal bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with law and legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business.
Photographs
Project photographs sent with an enquiry are used to understand the site. They are not published as portfolio or social content without appropriate permission.
Service providers and retention
Hosting, email and communications providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services. Personal information is not sold. Unsuccessful enquiries are removed when no longer reasonably needed; records connected with quotations, completed work, payments, warranties or legal duties may be retained for the relevant period.
Advertising, cookies and consent
Google AdSense may be used on substantial information and project pages. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure and personalise advertising. Before advertising that requires consent is served in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, the site will use a Google-certified consent management platform. Utility pages such as this policy, contact, terms, error and unfinished review pages do not request Google-served ads. See the cookie and advertising policy for more detail.
Your choices
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict information, object to certain use, request portability or withdraw consent for future use. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
